Dear North Fremont Families, Fans, and Supporters,
A systemic concern regarding spectator behavior across our conference has been brought to the attention of all administrators from each school within the conference. We have been asked to share the attached letter from the 3A Nuclear Conference leadership.
We support the conference’s call to action and the shared commitment to ensuring our athletic events remain positive experiences for students and communities. It is important to understand that if these concerns are not addressed, our conference risks losing access to certain venues and opportunities.
North Fremont has a proud tradition of high standards and strong character. That tradition extends beyond the court and into the stands. Our student-athletes compete with effort and integrity, and they deserve an atmosphere that reflects those same values from the adults and peers who support them.
We want passionate fans. We want energy in the gym. We want avid supporters who cheer loudly and proudly for our teams. That enthusiasm is part of what makes high school athletics special. At the same time, we ask that all support be shown in a way that respects others and avoids direct demeaning comments to officials, event staff, opposing teams, and fellow spectators. Our goal is to create an environment that is competitive, exciting, and positive for everyone involved.
While inappropriate conduct must be addressed, our primary focus is on promoting a culture of respect, pride, and class that represents North Fremont well.
Let’s continue to set the standard: competing hard, supporting passionately, and always doing so with sportsmanship.
Please take a few minutes to carefully read the attached conference letter in its entirety so you understand the expectations and the importance of this matter.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and our school.
